Q:Whenever I visit any Facebook page on Internet Explorer 8 (I believe) I get a download prompt for a file “gzip_detect.php” from Facebook?? I highly believe it to be a virus or other type of harmful software, but am unsure. Does anybody have information about this? Also, I’ve tried searching it up and found out some other people have this problem. I Looked everywhere for the specific file and I cant seem to find much. Help please!!!!
NEW YORK — The renegade flight attendant who cursed out a passenger and emergency-chuted to folk-hero status thanked the world for its support and said he wants to go back to work.
Steven Slater, 38, said through his lawyer Thursday that he loves flying.
“His hope is to return to the aviation business,” attorney Howard Turman told reporters as Slater stood by his side outside his home in Queens.
Slater’s career appeared to end Monday when he went on the public address system after a JetBlue flight from Pittsburgh, swore at a passenger who he said had treated him rudely, grabbed a beer and exited via an emergency chute. He was later arrested.
Ted Stevens was aboard a DeHavilland DHC-3T owned by GCI when it crashed. He was flying to a fishing lodge. Also aboard was Sean O’Keefe, a former NASA administrator, and three other people.
It is unknown why the plane crashed, but bad weather prevented Coast Guard and Alaska Air National Guard from reaching the crash site for over ten hours.
This is the second plane crash that Senator Stevens experienced and he had told people he knew he was going to die in a plane crash.

Supporters of Proposition 8 may already suspect the outcome of today’s ruling in the case challenging California’s ban on same-sex marriage.
In court papers filed Tuesday night, lawyers for the Proposition 8 defense team asked Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker for a stay of his ruling if the outcome is to declare the law unconstitutional. The motion indicates that the Proposition 8 lawyers will immediately ask the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to review the ruling if Walker rules against them.
“A stay is essential to averting the harms that would flow from another purported window of same-sex marriage in California,” they wrote.
The Texas Rangers auction is heating up and the delay on Wednesday is causing much speculation. Officials delayed the auction a few hours in order to determine which of the two bids in the team’s bankruptcy case if higher.
